8/11/2023 0 Comments Subnautica piloting cyclopsIf your noise is high enough to aggro them again, they'll come in for another attack, so while they can continuously attack you until the sub explodes, you have to really screw up for that to happen. Leviathans have their own aggro cycle where they'll approach, attack, then back off for a couple seconds. It will only register things that can threaten the Cyclops, which is, like.five things in the entire game? Yellow means they're there, red means they're attacking. Now then, that radar is your key to knowing when you have to start acting cautious. On top of this, shutting off the engine will reduce your noise to zero. You can reduce this with silent running, but that eats power and can only do so much. Moving forward makes noise, turning makes noise, and turning while moving will make even more noise. Your running speed and your movements affect your noise and they will add up. There's a gauge for this on the lower left of the HUD and there's also the blue sphere on your radar at the bottom right. So the main mechanic for keeping your Cyclops safe is noise. If you haven't been using the ascend/descend buttons, now's the time to start because they are vital here. First, you need to get used to the controls since it moves like nothing else in the game.
